THE EXHIBITION
Founded in 1992 from an idea by Accordo.it, a reference publication for musicians and music lovers for over thirty years, the SHG Music Show is the first and longest-running show-market in Italy dedicated to modern musical instruments: electric and acoustic guitars, bass, rhythm instruments, amplification, effects, plug-ins, and accessories.
An exhibition featuring thousands of instruments — both new and used — organized into thematic areas and listening environments: the Silent Area (headphone testing) and the Sound Area (controlled amplification).
The event combines both B2B and B2C dimensions, encouraging interaction between professionals across the supply chain, industry operators, and passionate musicians.
Participants include artisans, luthiers, manufacturers, distributors, publishers, retailers, collectors, music schools, service companies, and private sellers, representing the entire Italian and international modern musical instrument industry.
Instruments can be tested in dedicated equipped areas, and all scheduled events are free to attend.

MUSIC
Events, workshops and demonstrations run non‑stop on several stages throughout the show: rising talents and renowned professionals take turns on the live stage, the silent stage and within the exhibition areas for top‑tier, always‑free demos and workshops.
VINTAGE VAULT
A dedicated area for vintage guitar collectors: rare and one-of-a-kind pieces from across decades.
SECOND HAND MARKET
Buy, sell and trade. A large area dedicated to private transactions through which hundreds of instruments and accessories pass. Open to all visitors, with no paperwork and no sales commissions, yet offering a check‑in service so you can leave your instrument on display while you enjoy the show. Second Hand Market is the place for great opportunities, where buying and selling happen face‑to‑face—just like at the American guitar shows that inspired SHG Music Show.
A SPACE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE
SHG Music Show also offers a wide range of activities aimed at younger players.
Education and music training are key elements of the event, with strong participation each year from music schools.
A STRATEGIC LOCATION
The next edition of SHG Music Show will take place at Studio 90, East End Studios, located in the creative district of Via Mecenate in Milan.
A large converted industrial space, originally part of Milan’s former aeronautical manufacturing complex and now one of the city’s most important creative hubs. A contemporary venue perfectly aligned with the identity of SHG Music Show.
